Welcome to my blog!

Glad to see you here, Welcome to my blog. I love quilting, fabric, colors, etc. and am a mother to two boys 22 and 16, grandma to one beautiful little girl. I work as an RN in Labor and Delivery so I get to see little babies come into this world and help their moms and families through it. I love my job. Many of my co-workers are quilters too, so we like to chat about it while we can. I love comments, so please let me know what you think, or just say hi!

My sewing space (for now)

So here is a picture of where my machine is set up right now.  It is in our extra bedroom which soon will probably be turned into a room for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter.  Not sure where I will put my sewing stuff then, but may be back to the kitchen table for sewing.  Oh well, she needs her own room!

Here is my "stash"

This is an old quilt my grandmother Ruth made that is up on the wall behind my bookcase that holds my fabric, you can see it in the pictures above and below.  Very pretty but some of the fabrics are starting to come apart so it is best to leave it up on the wall instead of using it.  I like to look at it anyway and think about her and how she used to sew so much for all of us.

Stay tuned for my 1st "Sunday Stash" post on Sunday!

Thanks Barb. I have now converted that room, but the bookcase with my stash is remaining in her room. No where else to put it and she hasn't pulled all the fabrics out (yet anyway!). Just waiting to go in there one day and have every fabric out on the floor. Oh well, I can refold and organize them if she does. : )

The quilt is wonderful. What a treasure. Sorry you lost your sewing room, but the kitchen table is great too.
