Welcome to my blog!

Glad to see you here, Welcome to my blog. I love quilting, fabric, colors, etc. and am a mother to two boys 22 and 16, grandma to one beautiful little girl. I work as an RN in Labor and Delivery so I get to see little babies come into this world and help their moms and families through it. I love my job. Many of my co-workers are quilters too, so we like to chat about it while we can. I love comments, so please let me know what you think, or just say hi!

Hexalong!

Just because I really needed another project -LOL- I joined the Hexalong from Lily's Quilts.  Go here to get started and check out her hexies.  Here is my progress so far:
Put together so far.  The blocks are about 2" on the edge.

Lynne shows you how to print out some graph paper so you can make up your hexies in all different configurations like these.

Classic 60 degree diamond star.

This one was fun.

Tumbling block.

Just one big hexie!
The fabrics I used are Circa 1934, I had bought a charm pack and just decided to use that!  Not sure how big this is going to be or what I am making but I will probably need to get more fabric than one charm pack.  Oh darn, more shopping!

I love these hexies. Fabric with text/letters always gets me.

Great hexies! I keep getting distracted by other projects and forget about my poor hexis. Thanks for re-motivation

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Love the fabric you are using for your hexies- they are so unusual. Hope you can find more that complement them. Happy hexing. Linda
