Welcome to my blog!

Glad to see you here, Welcome to my blog. I love quilting, fabric, colors, etc. and am a mother to two boys 22 and 16, grandma to one beautiful little girl. I work as an RN in Labor and Delivery so I get to see little babies come into this world and help their moms and families through it. I love my job. Many of my co-workers are quilters too, so we like to chat about it while we can. I love comments, so please let me know what you think, or just say hi!

Trees in August!

Here is what my cutting board looks like this afternoon!

Just squared up 28 little trees for a swap I am doing.  I went to the quilt shop this morning and got my fabric and started cutting and sewing.  They were really fun.

We each send 27 trees to the swap organizer and then she is going to send each participant one tree from each of the other participants.  This way we will have a beautiful multi-colored tree quilt.

These are very small little blocks, 3.5" x 4" after trimming, so it will end up making a small wall hanging.  The instructions have some blank blocks mixed in with the trees.  You can see the original blog posting on how to make this here from The Purl Bee.

I found out about this swap from the Misfit Quilters and now I am one too!  I can't wait to get all my trees. I am debating on adding some more of my own depending on how big I decide to make it.

The fabric is from Adorn It - Life's a Hoot and I got more than I need of course to help my stash! (Like it needs it) LOL!
